I’ve answered the calling to create Sacred Space, a place of healing and growth and learning. But how? Having spent most of my adult life trying to sustain a Pagan Temple, I confronted many frustrations involved. Not the least of which was how to make one financially and ecologically sustainable. By creating a resort around a temple, it not only supports the temple by giving visitors a place to stay, it also generates funds to sustain the temple, and keep the lights on and the structures in good repair.
The Temple
I’m not only building a sustainable temple, I’m building a destination. This will be a place where people of any faith can gather and share their teachings. The plan is to invite all the great teachers and Pagan luminaries interested to come and teach. The Temple will have Altars to the 4 elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. There will be room for movement and dance, as well as lecture and ritual space. To the west, the Temple will open up to a swimming pool, and deck with a cliff side view of sunset over the placid blue of the Gulf of Thailand.
Not just indoors. There will be gardens and out-door circles with at least one Fire Pit. I am also building a labyrinth.
Villas
There will be 4 luxurious villas. Earth Air Fire Water
Each will be decorated according to their own theme. Each will 3-4 bedrooms, with a well appointed living room, kitchen, and bathrooms. Each bedroom will have aircon and solid Wi-Fi.
Bungalows
There will be 8 more bungalows. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto (yes, Pluto). Earth is already represented. These will be slightly more modest by comparison with the villas. Each with a nice bathroom, electric kettle and mini-fridge. Each bungalow will have aircon and shared Wi-Fi.
The idea is that anyone coming could attend events and teachings while going on during their stay. Or one could reserve the Temple as well as a Villa or two for a private course. Families and groups could reserve a Villa for a beautifully discounted vacation in a magical spot.
